棄馬十三招是明代古譜《桔中秘》的招牌棋譜,被放到了書中第壹位（如同《錦瑟》在李商隱詩集中的地位）。在《桔中秘》中的名字是:順炮橫車破直車棄馬局，棄馬十三招是民間的名字，我覺得這個名字更好，十三這個數字即使在中國人看來也不是那麽吉祥，總給人壹種冷冷的恐怖的感覺。
This is a famous ancient Chinese chess tactics. It is developed in Ming Dynasty China 1368-1644. The red player win in the beginning of the game (just 13 moves). The red player set trap by deliberately letting the red horse get killed.
